Michael Moore again (or: "Dawn Breaks in a Liberal Head")

Michael Moore's latest article.

Some interesting changes in attitude.

It is said that a conservative is just a liberal who has been mugged.

Note the repeat of the urban legend on the radio censorship. C'mon Michael. You're smarter than this.

Then there's this:

...I cannot go to work. But I have a film to finish. Our editor has been unable to make it in from New Jersey, but he is there now waiting for some word on what to do. I can't even think about this movie. I don't WANT to think about it because if I think about it I will have to face an ugly truth that has been gnawing through my head...

This started out as a documentary on gun violence in America, but the largest mass murder in our history was just committed --without the use of a single gun! Not a single bullet fired! No bomb was set off, no missile was fired, no weapon (i.e., a device that was solely and specifically manufactured to kill humans) was used. A boxcutter! -- I can't stop thinking about this. A thousand gun control laws would not have prevented this massacre. What am I doing?...

Some changes in attitude, but not enough. Much of the rest of the article falls into the old, comfortable leftist rut.

No doubt he will somehow manage to wrench his brain around to rationalize away his epiphany on guns within a day or two.

He is still furious that stock trading is taking place. With the leftist's usual butt-ignorance on economics, he seems unaware how critical this is to keeping the country moving, and that a country in a depression may not be able to afford the luxury of paying Michael Moore the big bucks for his cute little films, and he may actually have to show up for that job at Buick.

His front page is dedicated to the worship of Barbara Lee.

And, of course, he still thinks a war is a bad idea.

Still, to his credit, he says he was willing to volunteer for cleanup--something I'm not sure I'd have the guts to do.
