Re: The Terrorists We've Met . . .

The fanatics also seem more intent upon martyrdom than the salvation of the people. Personally, I would prefer living to fight the next battle, perhaps even surviving to see the new nation, rather than simply chucking it all at the first opportunity to take down large numbers -- even if they were NON-MILITARY TARGETS.

Those who recruit these lost people -- and they are lost -- to become their one-way projectiles to oblivion may well be considered freedom fighters by their own people, and those people may consider the living martyrs they recruit for their cause to be on a mission from God, but reality paints a very different picture.

Reality paints men and boys with nothing to live for. Their society has so thoroughly undermined their psyche, to the point of complete depression, that there is now nothing more to be gained in life. We have those same psyches here in the U.S. We call them criminals, because they kill their own families and friends, then, in a fit of utter defeat, take their own lives.

The difference is that these walking martyrs have been promised the right hand of Allah, should they succeed in taking the lives of their enemies with them. Should an innocent Islamic be caught in the midst of the strike, he too would be considered a martyr by his people -- or a victim, depending upon the fanaticism of “his people”.

These are not freedom fighters. These are the tools evil people use for mass murder.

You can carry this argument any way you like, but these “evil people” remain criminals of the highest order, and they shall most assuredly be dealt with accordingly.
