I really feel for the man. I really do.

The sad thing is... Clinton did want to get bin Laden in that instance (probably because of credible threats against Clinton himself )- and his own White House staff was so infiltrated that bin Laden could get away. That's what really haunts him - it was an inside leak that saved bin Laden. Satellite imagery had him pegged.

He knew then that he couldn't get him - because he didn't know where the leak was - and revealing that fact qould be a public relations disaster. So he gave up.

All those deals with the devil made the White house - a literal home to the enemy. They are still 'cleaning house' and The White House is run like it should be - with security checks and tight compartmentalization.

I wish the man well. Guilt eats away at one. 'The Buck stops here' motto tears at him though - I'm certain.
