I was working the Patch-n-Test under The Mountain at Fort Ritchie, Maryland, when I got a call from the Pentagon to put up a path. Not a prob. I was a task we repeated many times daily. In closing, though, we always requested the distant end's chops for our work tickets. He said his name was Mr. Waverly. I had to grin.

"So that would be Mike Whiskey?" I asked.

"Yes, it would," he replied.

"Got it. This is Napoleon Solo, and Channel D is online."
