I have not seen anything about FEMA classifying jet airliners as weapons of mass destruction. Imagine the consequences if this became the accepted definition. WOMD are highly restricted by international treaties and laws, so would Boeing and Airbus be allowed to sell airliners any more? Would we have to ground all jet airliners because civilians aren't allowed to own or operate WOMD?

I can understand in a way where FEMA is going. After all, we saw how jet airliners were used to killed several thousand people. However, that's different from a formal declaration that airliners are WOMD. I just did a quick search of the FEMA website and didn't see any references to airliners as weapons of mass destruction.
