SUMMARY:
As much as $100,000 was wired in the past year from Pakistan to a suspected leader of the terrorist hijackings, law enforecment sources told CNN.

Meanwhile, U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft warned of a "clear and present danger" of another terrorist strike against Americans. The country's top law enforcement official said terror activity against the United States may increase once the country responds to the September 11 attacks in New York and suburban Washington.

Nearly three weeks after the attacks, the focus of many Americans has shifted from hijackers taking commercial jetliners on suicide flights to the threat of biological and chemical warfare.
