"We've just begun," Bush said. "There's ... more to come."

WASHINGTON
President Bush cited "progress" in the U.S.-led war on terrorism on Monday, including the seizure of $6 million in suspect assets and the detention of a "known terrorist" from a 1986 plane hijacking.

In a speech to federal emergency workers, Bush appeared to be trying to show that the U.S. government was making headway in its hunt for the perpetrators of the Sept. 11 attacks on New York and Washington even as he called for patience.

"We're making progress on many fronts," Bush said as he outlined the U.S. military buildup, financial crackdown, diplomatic push and criminal investigation after the attacks that left more than 5,700 dead or missing and presumed dead.
