The warfare of today...is a lot more survivable for US folks.

This is a good thing.

Air superiority fighters, drones, satellite reconnaissance and a leader who will commit sufficient forces makes for a formula a lot more appealling than being a doughboy in WWI or II.

Biological warfare is not new either - the doughboys worried which shells were toxic as they screamed fury down upon their positions in the trenches behind the maginot line.

This time....the first time....it is nearly just as dangerous being behind in the States as out on the front lines.

At least on the front you will be equipped. A bio-attack on NY or LA and hundreds of thousands could die.

Bush's priority is effective usage of manpower and technology. Sending a ten million dollar cruise missiles to hit a camel in the behind, is a waste of resources.

Any drafted folks are not going to be finding themselves in 'Delta Force' real soon.

The world is a lot smaller place this evening - nations must cooperate in order to ensure a decent quality of life for all.

Best wishes,
