<A Russian airliner carrying at least 66 people and flying from Israel to Siberia exploded in midair Thursday, falling into the Black Sea. Russian emergency officials immediately suspected an explosion based on what a crew from another plane saw in the distance.

This may or may not be more terrorism. If it is, it seems to be a stupid move to spread the rage throughout the western world.

Grim question: How many atrocities will it take to totally polarize the world and turn this into a cultural war that will be destructive to both sides but fatal for them. Surely they know that their best hope for victory is to keep the west at odds on military response.
