Blair described the attacks in New York and Washington, D.C., as a crime against humanity and "condemned by Muslims the world over."
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan -- CBC
British Prime Minister Tony Blair wrapped up his diplomatic mission to Pakistan Friday, saying any military response to September's terrorist attacks on the U.S. would be proportionate, and would not be directed against the Afghan people.
Blair made his comments following a meeting with President Gen. Pervez Musharraf in Islamabad to shore up support for action against suspected terrorist Osama bin Laden, being sheltered by Afghanistan's Taliban regime.
