Re: Is the Taliban Even a Real Player In This?
Members of the Taliban are very grateful to Bin Laden for helping them/Afghanistan win their independece and land claim against Russia.
Al=Otaibi said each summer vacation, 200 to 300 young men come to bin Laden's camps in Afghanistan for training. Most come via Pakistan, he said.
In such poor countries, it must seem like a safe haven to those young men... must include a big confidence and ego boost. I'm sure they are well taken care of while they're in those camps in exchange for loyalty. Very sad.
