The White House released a list of 22 'most wanted terrorists,' October 10, 2001 including Islamic militant Osama bin Laden and others indicted in connection with five major incidents in the 1980s and 1990s. The list highlights a new joint effort by the FBI and State Department to capture the suspects, which is backed by a $5 million reward for useful information. Bin Laden is seen in a FBI 'Ten Most Wanted' poster released in June, 1999.

WASHINGTON -- Reuters
The White House unveiled on Wednesday a list of 22 “most wanted terrorists” as Washington broadened its hunt beyond Osama bin Laden, who President Bush has already said he wanted “dead or alive.”

Bush was to travel to FBI headquarters later on Wednesday to announce the list of “known terrorists,” including Saudi-born militant bin Laden, indicted in connection with five major incidents in the 1980s and 1990s.

The president held talks with senior U.S. congressional leaders, who emerged to say the president had eased a clampdown on disclosure of classified information to Congress that he angrily imposed after leaks on the U.S. response to the Sept. 11 attacks which killed nearly 5,600 people.
