Tony Blair's son to join up
(and I'd love to see Tony wearing one of those T-shirts!)
Blair: One son wants to join up
Tony Blair said today that one of his sons is considering a career in the Armed Forces - although he did not say which one.
The Prime Minister's revelation came as he chatted to soldiers at a desert camp during a huge military exercise in the Gulf state of Oman while on a diplomatic tour of the Middle East.
Mr Blair has three sons, teenagers Euan and Nicky and baby Leo.
Mr Blair sat down to lunch of chicken curry and strawberry ice cream in a tent.
He also posed for a picture with Corporal Kevin Lee of the RAF Regiment who wore a T-shirt with the words,
"We came, we saw, we kicked ass".
Operation Swift Sword II involves 23,000 troops.
