Re: And to think some people believe the media is biased to the left.

What's really funny right now is watching the leftists going through the same old motions in spite of the fact that the world has changed significantly around them. You see, they never actually apply thought to their positions, so like Pavlov's dogs, the same crap keeps spewing out by reflex despite the facts staring them in the face.

The surprise that many of them showed when they kept rattling off the old anti-American cliches after September 11, and got jumped on, was genuine. They honestly could not understand why their rhetoric didn't get the same warm, comfortable approval they have always received from their environment. Twisting their gaze away from all the new flags flying around them, like vampires suddenly finding themselves in a crucifix factory, most of them still do not have a clue. Still they go on spitting the stuff out, shocked when people become angry. And they can't stop, like a smoker still puffing three packs a day in spite of seeing the dark spots on his lung X-ray.

Some, more intelligent--or honest--than the others, may be beginning to realize that not only are they on the wrong side, but have been from the beginning. It is not dissimilar to what a scientist may feel when he gets out into the real world after spending ten years in college getting a PhD in Phlogiston Chemistry.

This Powers idiot is playing the same record on the same old groove about "Stupid, Stupid George" and his "handlers," despite the demonstrated skill Bush has shown in handling this crisis, and the intelligence he has shown on many occasions. It's almost pathetic. And why does he play the same record? Like most of the overeducated parrots in the leftist media, he has no choice. To change his outlook in any significant way would require feeding neural power to long-unused circuits in his forebrain, and the resulting smoke and ozone would probably kill all his houseplants.

One of the few good things about this past month is that a lot of rocks have been turned over, and a lot of squirmy things that operate best in the dark have been exposed to the light, and revealed for what they are.
