Re: WTC Urban Myth checks out

<There are only three possibilities: 1.) the youth was clairvoyant; 2.) the youth, knowing about the 1993 bombing, was just venting anger in a particularly timely way; 3.) word of the attack on the World Trade Center was rumored in his family or neighborhood and he heard about it.

I think it's painfully obvious that the answer is number 3. There isn't much more to do about it, since it appears that the FBI is all over this, probably in a very discreet manner.

There is a significant number of "ordinary" Muslims--even in the U.S.--that, while not criminals themselves, secretly support the Taliban, are pleased at the results of the WTC attack, and are angered at the attacks on the terrorists. Since they are not raving idiots, this attitude is kept under very close wraps among themselves and close friends and relatives.

These Muslims would not themselves commit crimes or terrorist acts, but may be sympathetic to the cause, and would not cooperate in bringing the terrorists to justice. From a different perspective, imagine a little old lady with strong fundamentalist Christian views, who might never harm a fly, but if she knew that the son of a friend down the road had bombed an abortion clinic, decided that keeping quiet was the right thing to do.

What is being whitewashed by the media and our own government, for obvious political reasons, is the unpleasant fact that the percentage of Muslims that feel this way is quite large, and many of them live in this country.

There are a significant number of non-Muslim anti-Americans who also fall into this category, but that's another story.
