In this news story the terrorists broadcast a warning. Spokesman Sulaiman Abu Ghaith warned Muslims in the US and UK not to travel by plane or live in skyscrapers.

Does this seem a little odd to anyone else that they would telegraph their plans this way? As far as I am aware, no Muslims in the WTC were warned ahead of time (despite urban myths to the contrary), and other acts of terrorism in the U.S. and overseas do not seem to take any special account of Muslims in the area when the killing occurs.

I think this is a rather obvious diversion. Whatever happens next is not going to involve either planes or skyscrapers, but then that's sort of what we had figured anyway.
