I was very excited by this, especially when Jaeschke said in the comments section of his site, "They [NASA] sent commands to two satellites around Mars, last Friday (before news of this observation ever made it out of the amateur community into the mainstream press.)"
I guess I'm being a little impatient, but that was 10 days ago.
A few quiet posts at UMSF, and zilch at The Planetary Society Blog.
Sigh.
