Sorry, will try a direct hit:

GREGORY R. SMITH

I.E.M. FOR NON-VIOLENCE

The pursuit of a non-violent society is my passion, and this passion drives my determination to develop a three-part program of Inspiration, Education, and Motivation (I.E.M. FOR NON-VIOLENCE). It is my hope that the youth of today, who will become the leaders of tomorrow, will learn from the errors of history and stop the destructive repetitious cycle of solving international conflicts through war. My dream is that through this program our society will rise to a higher level of civilization and accomplish my ultimate goal:

NON-VIOLENT DIPLOMATIC RESOLUTIONS TO INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC CONFLICTS.

Part one of my program, INSPIRATION, has been initiated, and I shall endeavor to develop it further. I have visited and plan to continue visiting elementary, middle, and high schools. During these visits, I shall be speaking to groups of student leaders as well as less motivated youth about the importance of their contribution to our future. By stressing moral and character development, educational excellence, and non-violent solutions, I want to instill in these students a glimmer of hope for a better tomorrow. The idea that intelligence attained through education is the key to success and obtainable by anyone willing to diligently make the effort will be the underlying theme of my campaign. I shall recruit student volunteers to establish clubs within their schools to continue this mission to the area schools and youth organizations in their neighborhoods. A generation exposed to constant violence in films, TV programs, and video games need the reassurance that an erudite society can exist.

The unique position of being eleven years old and a college sophomore has afforded me the opportunity to begin my quest. As I progress through my educational journey, I plan to develop part two of my program, EDUCATION: televised workshops on lessons from history and the destructive impact violent events have had on society. Part three, MOTIVATION: a scholarship/grant program designed to recognize and motivate future leaders to pursue academic excellence, moral and character leadership, and the resolution of international conflicts through NON-VIOLENT DIPLOMACY.
