Afghan loyalty...an oxymoron.
<This article pretty much says it all, and shows the problems we will have in setting up a stable government in Afghanistan.
The good news--if you can call it that: if you are dealing with people who tend to side with whoever is winning, it's a good idea to be the side with the overwhelming and withering military might. God fights on the side with the heaviest artillery, and apparently so do the Afghans.
