I have heard several medical experts say that the old vaccinations are unlikely to provide any protection. They also said that anyone who does not develope a scab from a vaccination (I knew of several such cases) is far more likely to have gotten a bad vac. than to have natural immunity.
The mortality rate is only 33% compared to 90% for anthrax but that is small comfort considering the wat it spreads
