Hello, i called the Pa. DOH and they told me that the spores don't live long in open air, If infected a person will show flu like symptoms and it is very treatable. The nurse told me that the fellow in Fla. that died from exposure was near sighted and held the pack of spores up to his face to see what it was. There was no threat of anthrax then so he didn't seek treatment and that's why he died. She told me that if he were aware of the threat and got checked out he probably would have been cured even though he took in a massive dose.
