The fatal flaw of fascism
All political philosophies are designed to work well. In the ideal fascist state all the gatekeepers are bright and in control of their emotions. In fact the posts are manned by ordinary people with all their ignorance, prejudice and insecurity in place.
The good thing about incidents like this is we get a look at a beauracracy out of control and hopefully adjust our thinking on what security is worth.
Things like this have been going on in this country long before 911. Anybody that has had to take a number in a public office knows what I am talking about.
