Despite the preaching of international Muslim brotherhood, Afghanistan remains very much a country of tribal and family loyalties, and many Afghans among the Taliban troops resent being forced to fight along side Pakistanis, Saudis, Egyptians, etc. This is causing more defections from the Taliban.
