Re: Hardly . . .

<“Most of the insults are meritless and quite often absurd, so I don’t pay them much attention. Hitler? Absured. (Gerald Rivera uses the same analogy, so Keating and Ashcroft are in good company!) Coward? This label would make Orwell proud -- it is doublethink at its finest. Collateral damage? As an American news junkie; a military man; and a Gulf War veteran, where do they think I learned that? (It sure as hell wasn’t Osama Bin Laden!)

“For all else, I would refer you to my enclosed paper ‘Hypocrisy,’ and to Bani Yousef’s statement to the court just prior to his sentencing. I filter all labels and insults thusly.”

Crank net. A knut drops a knut’s name, and we all quake in fear. Did McFruitcake’s granddaddy serve in Europe during WW II. Let’s just associate him with Hitler via gramps and be done with it. No, wouldn’t work. That would require research and caring for facts. Today’s armchair reporters would be put out to have to get up and actually find out something.

And why are so many amazed that McVeigh could read a city newspaper?

Even with the innocuous reference to the Ryder knut-case from beneath the WTC, Yousef, there is no way on Earth or in hell you can convince me that this little blurb means anything more than purest crap. Show me a reference where this crank mentions one terrorist associated with Sept 11 who was not already known to the media.

The war gets boring, so the hyping media agents try to invent news,
Dan
