I'm tired of reading news reports about how little has been accomplished and how far behind schedule the war in Afghanistan may be.

The media and the public have to rid themselves of this desire for instant gratification and lightening quick results, and setting artificial, or even nonsensical, deadlines lke the onset of winter or Ramadan. It'll be many more months, if not several years, before the job is done over there. People just have to accept that fact.

The good news is that in the past month many terrorists have been arrested throughout the world, and many more killed in Afghanistan, as well as the destruction of many terrorist training camps.

Remember, the civilized world has NO CHOICE about whether or not to fight this war, and others to come, against terrorism. (that is, is we don't want to see terrorists setting off small nuclear bombs in downtown Chicago or LA some day) The only decisions to be made, really, are about strategies and tactics.
