Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov and U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell spoke by telephone hours after the Pentagon announced postponement of some missile defense-related testing.
The two men discussed questions relating to "strategic offensive and defensive armaments" as well as mutual cooperation in the anti-terrorist drive, the Kremlin said.
Russia's Vladimir Putin meets President George W. Bush in Washington and at his Texas ranch during a November 12-15 visit, with the two men brought closer than they have ever been by a common stand against "terrorism".
