Bin Laden may indeed be dead. He could be sealed in a cave somewhere in Afghanistan.

Follow this reasoning:

We know he has access to videotape cameras and knows how to speak English. If we did not get him, we can presuppose that he would be filming and then smuggling out video taped pep talks to the fanatic faithful.

Theoretically, if he shows his face and thumbed his nose at us - it would make us feel impotent to reach him, demoralize the coalition and the US public.

If he is simply remaining silent so as to 'play dead', he would know we would not give up the search for him without exhausting all possibilities.

He could easily film in such a manner as to make his locale a secret and so he can't be remaining silent so as to protect his hideout.

If the media had received any Bin Laden videos - even if asked to suppress it - we know the media leaks worse than a buckshot shelled radiator and some outlet would air it here or abroad.

We can only assume he is a greater coward than we thought or he is dead.

So Bin Laden, may very well be dead.

A cave closure policy may make it so that we never know. (Unless we return later to each cave - blow up the seal in and re-enter.) We can only assume if we never see his face again - that your prediction of Bin Laden sightings will come to fruition.
