Re: Doesn't Matter . . .

The Northern Alliance will not hold as the "new world order" for Afghanistan. What the U.S. Allies desire, as well as what the neighbors of Afghanistan need, is a government with some stability, and the NA have already shown about as much loyalty to the Allies as they do the Taliban. While they do not openly aim rifles at us, they don't mind letting slip certain aspects of the pending invasion to their <sarcasm>enemies</sarcasm> -- the same enemies who might have been fighting at their side a week earlier. Personally, I would have hoped that a certain Abdul Haq could have taken a high level position in Afghanistan’s new government.

I don't know how much ruthlessness has to do with credibility.

Everything. A person or group that will openly lie while killing your comrades, as well as their own, all while railroading a few peace seekers to their deaths in a one day kangaroo court is incredible.

But you can go ahead and trust who you wish. It's still a free country -- over here, any way.
