The IRA set off a lot of bombs in civilian areas, so they're definitely terrorists as far as I'm concerned. I'm pretty sure the Protestant groups did the same and are also terrorists. To hell with both sides.
Institutions like Harvard, Oxford, Yale, etc., have been training the political elite from around the world for a long time. Some of those people used their school connections to acquire power and misuse it. Do we condemn Oxford because of the likes of Kim Philby and his cohorts? Do we condemn those schools for training some people who went on to become dictators?
The School of the Americas trained thousands of people over several decades. A handful of those people went on to abuse their positions. Some did terrible things and deserve severe punishment. However, to slam the entire institution for the acts of a few is simply wrong. The School of the Americas served to train foreign soldiers to resist communist aggression in their countries, nothing more. Of course, many (not all) of those who criticize the institution most severely are those who look favorably on communism in the first place.

- Bunk. The School of the Americas is not training terrorists. And the school kept the commies from doing to all of Central America hwat they did to Cuba.
