Re: Good intentions but faulty science
All the responses missed an important point. That point is not just environmentalism but national security. Drilling in the Arctic and Yellowstone will not enhance our national security in any measurable way. The reserves there are just too puny to make a difference. Moving to alternative sources of engery will increase our security. The nuclear option is one way to go but it can't be denied that the threat of a terrorist attack on a nuclear plant is more real today than it ever was.
