There's another advantage in having the Turks send troops to fight the Taliban.
The majority of Turks are nominally
muslim, so if a mission calls for extricating or eliminating those cowardly Taliban cutthroats or El Quaeda terrorists hiding out in mosques
then, instead of sending in American soldiers into the mosques [Which would only inflame and encite the wrath of millions of Muslims worldwide, and
breed another generation of terrorists
from that population group] to "flush them out", instead, send in the muslim Turkish soldiers into the Afghan mosques, armed with SMGs, handguns and the Turkish equivalent of machetes to do the job.
