Money and power are the greatest aphrodisiacs to SOME people. And maybe I revel in the hypocrisy that they create. Like I said before, you defend the same cast of characters who have been in successive administrations and who have handled things stritctly for THEIR benefit, and not the publics.
It's the biggest "agenda-driven" policy I have seen.

Most people wanted revenge.
They wanted blood, and Bush gave them what they wanted.
And no-one was welcomed for having a different viewpoint. I agree with the airstrikes, but personally I think they will be ineffective. They're looking for a needle in a haystack. Like trying to smash one gnat in a swarm of them. It just won't work.

We are talking about political policies that have been drafted behind closed doors that enrich a few beknighted individuals who have the means and oversight ("national security") to pull it off . These guys all have their hands in the public till and have built up their personal fortunes through drugs and guns worldwide. They are linked in with the defense contractors and corporations because WAR IS GOOD FOR BUSINESS.
First it was for defending "the communists", then it was in the name of "the war on drugs", next it will be/is the "war on terrorism".
Only this time, the black boots can come to your town, and your door (well, not YOURS.......you're likely the one who'd call them on your neighbours).

You don't see the TREND perhaps.
Whether it comes or not, is debatable; but it behooves one to stay ever vigilant.
