If these security guys had been Federal employees, odds are it would have been impossible to fire them at all.

Even crappy private companies still usually do a better job than the government.

Fine, Tom, as long as they are US 'crappy' companies that can be held liable (may the new laws be tough!) without going through too large a lawyer's web, it's fine with me.

As for whoever that baggage checker was (including the one on Sep. 11th) just 'firing' him/her doesn't seem enough.

Whether we get private security companies or get an Air Guard in place... (or both?!) may the laws be tough.
