A lot depends on the circumstances of the pictures. If my country was at war to the extent that foreign armies were on U.S. soil, I might train my kids to use rifles too for defense. On the other hand, if the kids are being trained to use as expendable cannon fodder, or to clear mine fields, it would be another story.
