Appears Wired hit the stands a little late with this one.
The link touted (saudi-binladin-group.com) maps to URL shrimpo.com:
* Record last updated on 10/01/2001
* Record expires on 05/10/2003
* Record created on 05/10/1999
To a Ventura Blvd address in Studio City, CA. It’s coming off of InterMedia servers, and there is no organization listed with it.
Domain saudi-binladin-group.com (trust me, it’s the right URL -- type it in yourself if you don’t)
* Date Registered: 10/27/2001
* Date Modified: 10/27/2001
* Expiry Date: 10/27/2002
To the same Ventura Blvd address, and coming off of Yahoo servers. Still no organization listed with it.

Anyway, the speculation of limp-wristed hacker-wannabes have rendered the data archived since October 27. There is nothing here for armchair detectives to decipher.
Anyone know of a “wayback machine” (thank you, Sherman) for overwritten site registrations (with a faster server/greater bandwidth than the Internet Archive Wayback Machine)?
I like it. thanks, Tom.
G'nite, all,
Dan
