"The Taliban believe they will receive reinforcements in this new war from across the Pakistani border from fellow Pashtuns and also fresh waves of international Islamist volunteers."

I think that won't occur. The Northern Alliance appears to be accepting Taliban defectors into teir ranks so long as those Taliban fighters are not Arabs or Pakistani... Those Taliban are apparently being executed.

I think this is a Northern Alliance policy designed to send a message to anyone outside of Afganistan: LEAVE THE FIGHTIN IN AFGANISTAN TO THE AFGANI's.

Its funny to see the news media call this a war crime. The news media doesn't realize that they are being used as free advertising to the entire muslim world.

JMHO of course.
