I've read some of his stuff, including his incredibly self-satisfied Mother Jones articles. One of the louder voices in the liberal echo chamber.
Anyone who can throw the term "Republican brain" around with a straight face is already full of shit. Ideas and facts are not a matter of biology, and anyone trying to convert these things to a matter of biology is someone who probably doesn't like what straight analysis of objective reality delivers.
Like I said, there's been a lot of this sort of thing going around lately. A recent paper tells how people who are skeptical of human-caused global warming need to be "treated."
Rob nailed it when he compared it to "studies" proving the intellectual superiority of whites. Same methods, same reasons for doing it, same load of crap.
I'm curious why liberals are so terrified of the idea that some concepts might be the result of philosophy and centuries of thought and analysis, and are desperate to make it into some kind of pathology.
