Congratulations to Al Gore
Matt Burley — (archived)

Here's wishing all the best for former Vice President Al Gore, in his new position in the financial services firm Metropolitan West Financial Inc. May he enjoy a long, prosperous career in the private sector.

Although he doesn't state it (yet), his acceptance of this position and its responsabilities almost certainly precludes his participation in the 2004 Presidential election. Listen carefully and you can hear leading Democrats scrambling to call all their old friends in New Hampshire and Iowa.
