To the media, defeating the al Quaida in the battlefield that is Afghanistan has always been an insurmountable task. For the militaries of the world, however, it is merely a chore. A dirty, thankless chore that the media personnel would rather the militaries handle.

The dogs are loose, and the quarry is in flight.

And should the hole-in-the-wall plan of the al Quaida prove disquieting for our ground troops, and equalizer from the air is readily available.

The United States of America was a poor choice for a prime target, but I fear there will be few of the offenders who will survive to adequately learn this lesson.
