If I might take the liberty of reproducing the entire section that Dan quotes from:
...Ayers lets us know immediately that he still knows that America "is not a just and fair and decent place." These words of wisdom come from a man who is now a Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and who brags at the end of his memoir, that he is "Guilty as hell, free as a bird – it’s a great country." As for those who believe that America is indeed a great country, Ayers has one reaction: "It makes me want to puke."
It is no secret to readers of this board that I have a low opinion of our higher liberal-arts education system. So, at the risk of beating a dead horse until it is thin enough to read a newspaper through, please make a note of the current job this bastard holds.
That's "Professor of Education." "Distinguished," no less.
Someone who teaches future teachers.
