You know down to your marrow that if Israel carved out a Palestinian state, gave the Palestinians absolute control there, released all prisoners, and turned Jerusalem over to the U.N.:

...that the state of Palestine would become a pesthole of terrorist enclaves from which radicals would cross the borders to Israel and set off bombs and guns to kill Israelis.

The radicals want Isreal dead, dead, dead, dead, dead.

The radicals will accept nothing else.

The parallels with our own situation with radical Islamic terrorists, who will accept nothing less than the conquest and/or destruction of the West, are inescapable. Our course of action was also inescapable.

When Israel goes on the attack, we will have nothing to tell them, because Israel will be in the right.

I don't have to like it, but there it is.
