Re: Getting Religion in America

<"Brame and his allies seek to impose a harsh Christian theocracy on the nation," said the Rev. Barry W. Lynn, executive director of Americans United. "Someone with such radical political views should automatically be disqualified from holding public office.

"Once members of the Senate get a look at Brame's record, his chances for confirmation will quickly evaporate," Lynn added. "Brame's ties to radical groups are indefensible."

So someone with radical political views should automatically be disqualified from holding public office? Can I carve this on a plaque somewhere? Does this include the 13 percent of the House of Representatives that officially support totalitarian socialism? Should left-wing radicals and others who believe that the purpose of a citizen is to be the property of an all-powerful state, also be expunged from Washington?

Didn't think so. As always, the diode of political correctness runs only one way.

By the way, according to this, Brame is already bowing out.

And yes, I didn't think Brame was the best guy for the office either, and, believe it or not, for the same reasons cited above. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of attacking the right-wing extremists while left-wing extremists are ignored, or even worse, praised.
