I truly don't see that omission as causing any harm. I think the outrage expressed here is manufactured by imaginations eager to find a liberal bias in everything.
I haven't posted on any of the controversy surrounding this killing because I haven't been able to tell what happened. I'm not prejudiced for or against either of the parties, don't have a dog in that fight.
And I'm not at all convinced that edit was prejudicial to anyone.
I got a petition from MoveOn about this, and emailed them back to stick to national issues of import to the country. I added they demean themselves by trying to inflame emotions in murky matters of local concern.
I think the political stuff in this thread is all yours. Ain't mine.
