Win 2000 is very solid

I almost never play games on my computer so that really doesn't concern me. At work, I do a lot of development. Win 2000 is a very good OS for development because it's almost unbreakable. In over a year of use, I've only had one BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and that was caused by a flaky Zip drive. At home, I mainly do word processing, internet access, and some light development for classes. I've hesitated about upgrading to Win 2000 for home because of some software that I have not had time to check for compatability. I may do the upgrade over this Christmas vacation since XP doesn't seem to be a viable option for my home PC.
