Shouting ANYBODY down at a formally scheduled speaking affair, preventing him from speaking at all, is boorish hooliganism, and at any proper university it would be dealt with through normal disciplinary channels. The opinion of the person speaking: Left, Right, or Indifferent, is irrelevant to this code of civilized behavior.*
If you don't agree with the point of view, you could arrange a formal debate. Or stage a protest with information leaflets outside the speaking hall. There are always civilized alternatives.
The point I was trying to make, and apparently not quite well enough, was that shouting conservative speakers off stage at campus events has been a standard operating procedure of the Left since day one, and none of the usual suspects had squat to say about it. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, the liberals are...yes, squealing...about the injustice of being subjected to such verbal mistreatment.
*I'll leave the burning of literature out of this for now.
