Taliban or tribal elders? Who do you believe? Judging by the way this particular article is written, we can certainly see what Reuters would prefer to be the truth.

Note how the first paragraph is written. Note how most of the story is sourced from the Afghan Islamic Press, which is referenced in other sources as "close to the Taliban movement."

The American liberal press is so desperately hungry to find something that will cast our military in a bad light, particularly in light of our success, that they will grasp at anything. I don't know the truth of this story for sure yet, but I sure know which of the two sources is more credible. One would think that professional newsmen would too.
