As to our discussion on repairs causing damage, I think the repair in question is visible in the picture of the left center vertical stabilizer attachment. I got a sick feeling when I enlarged it. The stabilizer has been drilled and through-bolted evidently to stop a delamination. The stabilizer is designed to flex (CNN). It looks like all flexing stopped at the top row of bolts.
