Ouch, when I think I just read Aldrin's latest novel "Return" which involves Pakistan launching a rocket to an altitude of 500 km (not even reaching orbital speed) and exploding a nuclear warhead up there, causing all satellites around the Earth to malfunction, because of the EMP effect.
