I heard of a shortage of conventional air launched cruise missiles (CALCM) a few years ago. However, Boeing was given the contract to modify all 322 of the nuclear ALCMs to conventional warheads back in 1999. Deliveries have already begun. The CALCM conversion will include some with warheads designed to attack hardened targets. Here's info from the USAF fact sheet on the CALCM. Perhaps the numbers aren't quite as grim as the article claims. Furthermore, if they run out of the old ALCM airframes, they could also look at reactivating the AGM-129 production line and converting those to conventional warheads. That is a more advanced missile than the CALCM with longer range and stealth.
