Honk If You Want a Traffic Fine

NEW DELHI, India
India's capital imposed a ban yesterday against honking at traffic lights, an effort to calm nerves in the city's overcrowded streets. Anyone using a horn within 100 metres of a traffic signal will have to pay a fine of about $3.50, said Maxwell Pereira, the city's traffic police chief.
